The Orphanage
In Matthew 9:36 it says of Jesus, “Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd.”
With the crisis in South Sudan displacing more people, the number of orphans has risen dramatically over the last several years. These young victims have no family to turn to and nowhere else to go…. until now!
In 2019, John Duot was led by the Holy Spirit to begin rescuing orphans in and around South Sudan. At the time of our meeting, the kids in John’s care were living in conditions that most family pets in America don’t have to experience. The kids were sleeping on the dirt floors, which left them exposed to the weather, scorpions, spiders, and various other insects/bugs.
We knew that it wasn’t possible at first (without God of course) to provide everything the children needed up front. However, since then we have seen God do some amazing things in the life of our kids.
Our Heart for TOM is to:
See every orphaned child in South Sudan have a place where they can/will experience the Love and Goodness of their Heavenly Father (which includes sustenance and security)…
See every child being raised in an environment that nurtures and fosters the growth needed to realize their identity in God and to fulfill His divine purpose for them…
Ultimately change the trajectory of an entire nation!
